le art book fair<3 <3 <3
i had a much better outing today than yesterday ^-^'' there's an art book fair i go to every year and this year they're back in person for the first time since covid :)! it was in a different location than usual and it was a ticketed entry system this time (bleh). i waited until sunday(today) when entry was free and i reserved a spot in advance (which im glad i did because they sold out @ _ @)! the line to enter spanned like around the whole block lmfao, i almost wanted to turn around but i stuck it out because i had already traveled for over an hr..
as always, the fair was crazy packed and overwhelmingly full of art books!! everytime i go i skim through every table until i reach the zine section which is always my favorite and where my whole budget goes to >:3 because i am broke(tm) i couldnt get as many things as i'd like but i did manage to pick up three books ^_^ there was a lot of cool stuff that i just didnt know what to get amongst the sea. like..this wall of posters, i wanted to get one but i just couldnt choose so i didnt): i also did show up kinda late to my time slot so by the time i reached the zine section there were only 30 minutes left. it was so crowded that i had to wait just to even grab a book to look at from any given table, lol. rip!

i am somewhat of a nichole shinn collector and have been buying her risograph books at these fairs over the years, so of course i had to pick up this new book :33 i also got to formally introduce myself in person b/c we started talking online and even worked on a zine together last year so it was very cool to finally meet in person :'o i got too tired to take decent photos, but her drawings are so fun to look at and she has a very strong handle on the medium, risographs are just sooooo sexy you can't not love them.
i also picked up these next books just because they really caught my eye and went back for them after making the rounds. they are also sexy risographs and how could i resist these fairy drawings? :? i am also looking forward to reading to all the white girls ive loved before, the drawings are just so well composed *-*
im gonna have to really look through these in the morning when theres more light and when i have more brain power but all in all it was a success ^-^~
